Search data

Connect Google Search Console per brand to view search performance, inspect indexing status, and request recrawls from Blogflair.

Plan requirement: Search data is included on Starter and Pro only. Free accounts see an upgrade prompt on the Search data page.

Where to go

  • Search data overview: /dashboard/search-data
  • Per-brand analytics: /dashboard/search-data/{brand-slug}

What you can do

  • Search analytics — Clicks, impressions, CTR, and average position for a selected date range.
  • Queries and pages — Full tables from Search Console (not just top rows), with sorting and pagination.
  • URL inspection — Check whether a URL is indexed and review coverage, fetch, and canonical details.
  • Request indexing — Submit an indexing notification for a URL (see limits below).
  • Disconnect — Remove the Google connection for a brand at any time.

Setup steps

  1. Upgrade to Starter or Pro if you are on Free (Billing).
  2. Open Search data in the dashboard sidebar.
  3. Select the brand you want to connect.
  4. Click Connect Google Search Console and sign in with a Google account that has access to the site in Search Console.
  5. Choose the correct property (URL-prefix or domain) and save.
  6. Pick a date range (24 hours, 7 days, 28 days, 3 months, or custom) to load metrics.

Each brand has its own Search Console connection and property selection.

Using search analytics

After a property is connected:

  1. Use the date range pills at the top to filter the period. Google Search Console data is usually available through yesterday (not today).
  2. Review summary cards for total clicks, impressions, average CTR, and average position.
  3. Open the Queries or Pages tab to explore full result lists.
  4. Sort by any column and change page size (50–400 rows per page) as needed.

Click Refresh to pull the latest data from Google for the current range.

Inspect a URL

  1. In the Inspect URL card, enter a URL that belongs to your connected property.
  2. Click Inspect to load indexing status from Google.
  3. Optional: click Request indexing to notify Google of an update, or Search Console to open Google’s full inspection report.

Request indexing notes:

  • Uses Google’s Indexing API. It asks Google to recrawl the URL; it does not guarantee indexing.
  • Google officially limits the Indexing API to certain content types, but many sites use it more broadly—results may vary.
  • If indexing requests fail with a permission error, disconnect and reconnect Search Console so Blogflair can request the indexing scope again.

Permissions

  • Use a Google account that is an owner or full user on the Search Console property.
  • The URL you inspect must be under the property you selected (same domain or URL prefix rules as in Search Console).

Disconnect

On a brand’s Search data page, use Disconnect to remove the Google connection for that brand. You can connect again later; you may need to re-authorize in Google.

Common issues

Search data is locked / upgrade prompt

  • Search data requires Starter or Pro. Upgrade from Billing.

No properties in the list

  • Confirm the site exists in Google Search Console for the Google account you used.
  • Verify you chose the correct Google account during OAuth.

URL inspection failed

  • The URL must belong to the connected property (domain or URL-prefix).
  • Check spelling and include https:// if needed.

Token expired / reconnect

  • Click Disconnect, then Connect Google Search Console again.

Metrics look empty or delayed

  • GSC often lags by a day or more. Try an older date range.
  • Very new sites or low-traffic properties may show little or no data.

Security tips

  • Connect only properties you manage in Search Console.
  • Disconnect integrations when offboarding a brand or team member who set up the connection.
  • Review connected properties periodically in Search Console.
